Its closest neighbors are the cities of Camas and Vancouver and it sits just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon. Despite its location outside one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest metro areas, Washougal encompasses the Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge and Reed Island State Park, just west of the Cascade Mountains and north of Mt.
