Located south of Olympia, the state capital, in western Washington, Tumwater is also known for its convenience to plenty of recreation and outdoor activities. Like most of Thurston County, Tumwater has its share of parks, trails, and views of nearby Mt. Rainier. This community is slightly more rural than its neighbors, affording residents larger lot sizes and slightly newer homes for sale than Olympia and is currently seeing an increase in new construction.
